The Wheel Weaves

from The Wheel of Rhyme by Sulfur

about

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.” - Robert Jordan

lyrics

The wheel weaves as the wheel wills
From the waking to the dream where the shadow spills
To the breaking and the seams ripped, cold chill
Tear in the pattern bring the turning to a standstill
Fulfill-- destinies that turn to legend
And legend fade to myth before a new age beckoned
Even myth die away before the end of the second
Gave way to third, lines blurred and threatened
It's-- de ja vue or vu ja de
All happened before, but not quite this way
It's a retelling of a scene on replay
Threads of life caught up in ta'veren sway
Entropy echoes extra eerie
Introduced by the lords of the chaos theory
Weary-- but death just a feather
See the gathering storm I'm born to weather

Ages come and ages pass
Turns slow but it spirals fast
Pushing 'til I breathe my last
(The wheel weaves as the wheel wills)
x2

Time flows like a river, it repeats
No matter your feats, won’t keep the receipts
Turn page on an age and it’s gone
Ride the winds of time he who comes with the dawn
Drawn power from the one source and true
Navigate the two to ascertain a clue
Imbued in the moment right from the spark
Was the understanding that the light needs the dark
Shi’tan’s hand reaching for the pattern--
Full circle like we on the rings of Saturn--
Know we been here but this ain’t happened
Near to breaking, already snapping
Overlapping no end or beginning
Can’t ignore that the bore is steady thinning
Now we spinning on towards the next
As the weave grows more complex (check!)

Ages come and ages pass
Turns slow but it spirals fast
Pushing 'til I breathe my last
(The wheel weaves as the wheel wills)
x2
